Windows 10: Re-Installing Focusrite Drivers. Applies to: Scarlett Range. We will be installing the latest Focusrite USB ASIO Driver for Windows. For the Scarlett 6i6 model and above, we will be installing the latest version of Focusrite Control (2 nd Gen) or Scarlett MixControl (1 st Gen). Installs driver 4.63.24.564 (installer 528). Changes since last release - Fixed an issue that could cause the device and a DAW to run at different sample rates if a user tried to force a sample rate change from Focusrite Control/Scarlett Mix Control/Focusrite Notifier while a DAW session was running.
Original Title: Reset permissions on windows installer folder
Hi!
I am trying to install a FocusRite Scarlet 2i2 USB ASIO driver - without success - the programs supplied by FocusRite (Apleton 9 Lite) also cannot see the driver while another ASIO 3rd party driver ASIO4ALL installed easily and is found by Apleton 9 Lite as well as other DAW editors). Win 7 device manager says the driver is working properly. when the USB device is plugged in win 7 try's to install the driver - yet repots that it failed; however, rechecking the device manager says the driver is functioning properly - very confusing. so, I ran windows process monitor wile win 7 was trying to install the driver - it reports 'Access Denied' on windowsinstaller directory - which is hidden from explorer (even when I set the show hidden files and folders and have cleared the hide system files and folders option! so my question is how can I set the permissions on the windowsinstaller directory? (am hoping that will resolve the FocusRite Scarlet 2i2 USB ASIO driver issue - I am unclear how it got messed up- but I have a lot of activated software on the machine that would be difficult

Once downloaded, open your downloads folder, double click the installer, and follow the onscreen instructions. Follow these steps to install your interface’s driver.
Download and Install Focusrite USB Drivers for Windows
1. Disconnect your Focusrite interface and visit Focusrite’s download page.
2. Select your product from either drop-down menu and click on the driver download link under the Software section.
3. When the download completes, open your Downloads folder.
4. Double click the FocusriteUSB Installer EXE file and follow the onscreen instructions.
Note:
Disable the Windows Exclusive Mode setting so applications don’t fight over who is using your Scarlett. Open the Sound Settings menu and click Properties. Click the Advanced tab and uncheck the first box. View this GIF to see what that looks like.
